Capture One Perpetual License Holders No Longer Guaranteed Access to New Features

The way consumers purchase software has changed a lot over the past decade.

And with the advent of software as a service and subscription-based plans, we’re probably not going back to the gold old days.

Capture One users were recently reminded of this very modern phenomenon when they were told that perpetual license holders were no longer guaranteed access to new features and functionality in the future.

The change isn’t immediate – in fact, it doesn’t take effect until February 2023 – but that hasn’t stopped some users from expressing their thoughts

Just had the pleasure of wandering the Big Apple in search of the lights of the holidays, in the company of some very cool photos, and with that preeminently talented duo, Fancy Girl Street Boy. (Otherwise known as Liza Politi and Ari Espay.)

Clumsy cub and smiling fish among Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards winning images

(CNN) — An image of a 3-month-old lion cub falling out of a tree has been named the overall winner of this year’s Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards.

The moment was captured by Jennifer Hadley in the Serengeti, Tanzania, late one afternoon, and the image was fought off the competition from 5,000 other entries.

“It didn’t even occur to me that he would make a go of getting down by himself in the most un-cat like fashion. I mean, how often do cats fall out of trees?” Hadley said in a press release from the Comedy Wildlife

Staten Island cameras issue less than 1% of NYC’s bus lane tickets, but that’s about to change

STATEN ISLAND, NY — Like it or not, automated enforcement cameras have become a part of everyday life in New York City.

Each day, thousands of speed, red light and bus lane cameras issue violations to drivers breaking the law, whether they’re exceeding the speed limit, running a red light or blocking a bus lane during designated hours.

Here on Staten Island, drivers are far more accustomed to being ticketed by speed cameras and red light cameras, with both issuing millions of dollars worth of fines on a yearly basis.

Adobe Creates Guidelines for AI-Generated Content Submissions to Adobe Stock

Artificial intelligence can pretty much handle anything these days, including creating entire scenes out of thin air.

Local photography clubs host reception

JACKSON, Tenn.–Photography lovers stopped by the old City Hall building at ‘The Ned’ to see what the Jackson photography club has to offer.

All the photos featured are taken by different club members.

In order to help boost community involvement for this exhibit they’re doing something a little different.
