The London Lampshade Story! « Joe McNally Photography

I didn’t tell anyone, most of all Annie at first, but when I saw the scouting pictures of this location in south London, I knew I wanted to put a lampshade on Amber Tutton’s head.

For wardrobe direction, I was of course more specific. Given the pastel walls, I said I wanted her to look like a parfait. I believe I said something like, “Color-wise, you know, think of a scoop of gelato with legs and stilettos.” Annie and Lynn gave me a quizzical, time-honored head tilt, and, with that overwhelmingly precise type of direction, went forward with the styling.

National Geographic spotlights extraordinary photography as ‘Pictures of the Year’: Here are 10 great shots

National Geographic has released its roundup of the most intriguing photos of 2022.

The brand’s “Pictures of the Year” issue showcased stunning photography captured in locations all around the world — and right here in the US as well.

Of a whopping 2,238,899 total photos taken by NatGeo’s team of photographers, 118 were selected as the top shots.

FIVE US DESTINATIONS MADE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC’S ‘BEST OF THE WORLD’ TRAVEL LIST: ARE YOU SURPRISED?

The pictures were taken with the help of 4,000 pounds of gear shipped into the field by NatGeo staff photo engineer Tom O’Brien.

Gabourey Sidibe has revealed that she secretly got married to her husband, Brandon Frankel, more than a year ago.

The 39-year-old actor confessed that she and her spouse tied the knot in 2021 while appearing on Monday’s episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan, after host Ryan Seacrest asked her about her wedding plans. Sidibe initially announced her engagement in November 2020.
