After suffering the trauma of labor and birth, I was ready to pose for professional photos. After months of gaining weight and a week of no sleep, I am now at the end of my rope.
This is how you might feel when you imagine yourself with your newborn baby, just days after you have gone through the life-changing experience of labor and birth. This is something I hear from expecting Mamas all the time. It’s something I completely get! My first pregnancy was a disaster! I felt like a preteen when my hormones went crazy. It was absurd! It didn’t stop me from documenting my beginning forever. Are you still not convinced that family portraits after birth are worth the effort? These are the top reasons for your newborn session. I will do my best to make sure you look your best even if you don’t feel your best.
Only a few times in your life will you experience a new chapter or a beginning. Your wedding, your first home, and your pregnancy are just 1-2 examples. These milestones are worth recording! They will become part of your story as you go through the years. The one that takes you to parenthood will be your most important. It will be the most important thing in your life. Don’t let your insecurity about your body after giving birth stop you from taking your first family portrait. It’s an important event that not everyone can experience. It’s important to celebrate it and be proud of it. It will be something your children will treasure for many generations.
How To Look And Feel You’re Very Best
Solid, neutral tones such as whites or light grays will create timeless photos. They will also blur in Photoshop to conceal belly areas. Some of the more advanced Photoshop enhancements that I will use include reducing tired eyes, removing acne, softening skin, and even nipping and tucking. I’ll make sure you look your best in the portraits. The way I hold your baby will reduce any extra weight in your arms. My job is to be a physical trainer, a dentist, and essentially a plastic surgeon. Ha!
All these tips and tricks are great, but the best tip I can offer you to capture the perfect family portrait is to just be there. Take advantage of the time you spend snuggling with your baby and allow your love to shine through your smile.
